'Supporting and empowering others on their journey in life has always been my passion'
I began working as a qualified counsellor in Canada in 1990, first for an agency and in private practice since 1992. From 1997 to 2002 I also contracted my services as a counsellor to the Tsuu T'ina Nation, an indigenous community in Southern Alberta, Canada.
In 2002 I relocated to the Sunshine Coast of Australia where I have continued my private practice work.
As part of my own journey, I have become very enthusiastic about helping people find good, solid, loving relationships.
This is why I've created Kaimi Coaching.
My method has evolved from everything that I've learned and experienced over the past twenty years in my practice.
I'm very passionate about this work because it comes from my own personal experience. I can truly say that I've "walked my talk" in this area of life.
My experiences of being both in long term relationships and also spending many years as a single person looking for "the one" has taught me many valuable lessons. I discovered that when you are in a relationship it is easy to blame the other person for what goes wrong. When you are single, you are forced to look at yourself only.
I recognize the importance of this and value the time I spent on my own. It allowed me the opportunity to work on my relationship to myself. Once I had a good relationship with myself, the rest unfolded easily and effortlessly. I have been very happily married for over 15 years and it just keeps getting better!
